The Arizona Roofing Industry Foundation (ARIF) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) affiliate of the Arizona Roofing Contractors Association (ARCA) and provides academic scholarships to employees (and their spouse/children) of ARCA members.

The Program

The Arizona Roofing Contractors Association (ARCA) has established a scholarship program to assist employees, immediate family members of employees, or the immediate family of ARCA members who plan to pursue post-secondary education in college and vocational programs. Scholarships will be offered each year for full-time study at any accredited post-secondary institution of the student’s choice.

Eligibility

Applicants to the Arizona Roofing Industry Education Foundation must be an ARCA Member’s

  • full-time employee
  • full-time employee’s spouse, or
  • full-time employee’s child (biological, legally adopted, or a stepchild)

who is either

  • a high school senior or graduate planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course OR
  • a student already enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course
  • at an accredited two or four-year college, university, or vocational/technical school

Awards

Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of (at minimum) $2,500 each. Payment is made in August and checks will be mailed to the bursar of the school where the scholarship winner will do his or her undergraduate work.

Application

Interested students must complete the online application by the official deadline. (2024 scholarship entry is now closed. Please check back for 2025 scholarship information.)

Applicants are responsible for gathering and submitting all necessary information. Applications are evaluated on the information supplied; therefore, answer all questions as completely as possible. All information received is considered confidential.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, potential to succeed, leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, financial need, a statement of educational and career goals, and an outside appraisal.

Final selection of recipients is made by the ARIF Board of Directors. Award recipients will be notified by June 15. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet the eligibility requirements.

Revisions

The Arizona Roofing Industry Foundation reserves the right to review the conditions and procedures of this scholarship program and to make changes at any time including termination of the program.
